With good wind forecast I planned to get in a few hours around lunchtime. It was very cold. Fully suited with gloves and hat I still got the finger hots, for the first time this autumn.

The conditions were gusty. And people thought it would be picking up throughout the day, as forecast. It didn't. I fact the opposite, by 3pm as it went overcast and started to rain the wind had dropped to 16 mph.

In the cold it took me about half an hour to get into a rhythm. I did some decent jumps while conditions were right, on both port and starboard as it was so southerly. Didn't feel like trying much else, as the water felt really chilly.

Col was jumping well. John Mitch & Freestyle Fred were out too. Mike G went down the lake to wait for a gust for a speed attempt. It didn't really happen.

Just home now I see it is going dark and the average is up over 20, but it is grim looking.

9:15 flight to Dahab tomorrow.
